This device is a PoE balun that allows you to combine the signal from two cameras to a switch using a single network cable. It’s used to place two 10/100 Ethernet circuits on a long-lasting Ethernet cable with or without a PoE port. It supports 2 individual data connections at 10/100 speeds and up to 30W for each one (60 watts total) over Cat.6. The end is connected to two RJ45 connectors to the switch (one connector in the POE slot and the other in the LAN slot). Using a UTP cable, preferably Cat.6, it connects to the other end by transferring data and power. The other end has two RJ45 connectors that can be directly connected to IP cameras, or if the cameras are separated, you can connect another RJ45 cable to extend the signal to the cameras up to a maximum distance of 100m.
